Exercise is for the mind just as much as it's for the body. I always leave the gym feeling SO good. For me, it's the best de-stresser out there, and I soon realised... you never regret going!
We all need that little bit of extra motivation, whether you want to work out for your holiday in a couple of months, or to get back in to that favourite pair of jeans... I can assure you that a new gym kit will do the job and get you eager for the gym!
I'm a creature of habit when it comes to work outs. I always start with a 10-20 minute interval session on the treadmill (the length of the run depends on my mood and energy level!)
I run fast for 1 minute, and then walk for 30 seconds... and continue this until I reach my target for the session.
I then move on to weights to work on toning my muscles. This part I usually make up as I go along. I try to get a little bit of everything in each workout, so something for my arms, something for my legs and then lastly something for the abs!
All topped off by 5 minutes of stretching so I know I'll be able to walk down the stairs tomorrow morning. I do this once or twice a week... so nothing extreme at all, just enough to make me feel good!
