I have a major soft spot for Brighton. I love how vibrant it is, there's so much to do and everything is so unique. We made this visit because it has officially been one whole year (last Monday) since our big day!!
I cannot believe I'm saying that already! It has absolutely flown by and been the best year of my life at that. Brighton is special to us because we came here for the weekend when Charlie got down on one knee and proposed... oh the romance!
We stayed in Hotel Du Vin in Brighton as our anniversary treat and have since decided to make it a tradition... I wonder which Hotel Du Vin we will end up in next year!
We stayed in the hotel for both dinner and breakfast and the food was just amazing. We both tucked in to a burger for dinner, which was really no surprise and we had the yummiest pear and almond tart with honeycomb ice cream on the side for pud. The thought makes me want it all over again!
The weather was pretty ummm... miserable, although I hope my snaps manage to disguise the drizzle and grey skies a little!
After a wet and windy stroll along the Pier we stopped at a really gorgeous little tea rooms called Sugardough which was so quaint with trolleys of cakes and furniture that looked almost too delicate to sit on. Luckily they survived our visit! I will definitely be returning!
Other than the weather it was a rather wonderful trip. At least there was sunshine one year ago!
