So, my first post of 2106! I've been really excited about publishing this post as I have been adding to it over the last month or so. every time I think of a new challenge or something I'd like to improve on.
Goal 1. Fitness.
A big thing for me is fitness. Not just for health reasons, but also because it makes me feel so much better about my self. I got so fed up with looking in the mirror and just thinking 'ughhhhhh' so back in October 2014 I decided to do something about it. A few times a week I started running and cycling (mainly because this was all I felt comfortable doing in the gym with other people watching) and as the weeks went by I started to see and feel a difference. From April, I moved gyms to the same one as the hubby and now I use so much more machinery and do weights and all sorts I never thought I could do!
Before the wedding I was going to the gym 3 times a week which now seems like way to much! I know some people go 5 times and that's ok but I'd like to keep up and stick with my 2 gym sessions a week routine. I feel this is just enough to feel the benefit but not too much to make me dread going.
Goal 2. Mornings.
I always find in the morning's, everything is such a rush. It's not a good way to start the day and getting out of bed is hard enough with it being so dark! I've decided I want to get up earlier and have an hour minimum to get ready. I want to be able to wake up, go down stairs and make a cup of coffee with our new Nepresso machine and with frothy milk of course (still feeling like a privilege!) then shower, moisturise, make my hair look nice rather than throw it in a bun because it really could have done with a wash and actually have time to think about what I want to wear. In a ideal world this would all work perfectly... but when the alarm goes off at 6.30 rather than 7 it may not be so easy. I think i'll need to train my self a little for this one to work but I really would like it to!
Goal 3. Pamper.
I think it is so necessary to have that one evening a week allocated to pampering yourself and just feeling wonderful! For me, Monday nights when I get back from the gym seems to be the best evening for 'me' time. I'll get home about 6.30 and Charlie wont be back until at least 7.30 which gives me a valuable hour before thinking about cooking dinner. Having this time to wash my hair (or even treat my self to a hair mask), shave my legs, ex-foliate, moisturise, cleanse, use Moroccan oil in my hair, re do my nails and just lie on the bed wrapped in my dressing gown soaking in all the goodness. Doesn't that just sound like pure heaven!
I'm hoping your new years resolutions are also well under way what ever they may be. Here's to a brilliant 2016!
