New season, new gym kit?! Yep, I think so too! I LOVE these soft bluey/grey shades that New Balance have recently bought in to their collection. Perfect for the new season... and practical too as we still seem to be experiencing the odd down poor!
I think my favourite item here has to be the leggings... they are also the most reasonable out of all the pieces. They are such a lovely materials and quite thin which is great for these warmers days. The last thing you need is some thick lycra!
These trainers are also SO comfortable. I've had a pair in this style before and they are really great for running in. It's so important to get a pair that support you and these ones really work for me.
I'm all set for my summer fitness... no excuses now!
Firstly, I apologise for not having a post up the last 10 days! I've been working on a little something which will all be revealed very soon! I promise you it's super exciting and something I have wanted to do for SO long!
I do also have a holiday coming up so am looking forward to getting lots of lovely holiday posts ready for the next few weeks ahead. I'm so looking forward to getting some sun and enjoy the long evenings with a cocktail in hand!
I always get to April and find i'm so desperate for some sun. We usually go away in May but this year we are jetting off a month early and I'm so pleased it has come round so quickly. I love looking forward to the holiday too.. I'm never one for a last minute booking because all the planning and excitement that goes in to it is half the fun!
So... here is a little holiday inspiration to get us all through until our much needed break. Bring on sandy the sandy beaches!
If that isn't enough to get you in the holiday mood I don't know what is. Pinterest is always letting my imagination run wild!
My hubby and I booked this trip back in December. I decided this was the year for doing more... and so far this is city break number 2!
I had been SO excited for it for so long so was pleased to see the weekend finally come around! I' did so much googling before hand to see where to go and... I'm pretty sure I want to go everywhere. A colleague of mine actually went the weekend before us so I got lots of top tips!
We had 3 days in the city so plenty of time to walk lots and see all the sites.
First things first, packing! With a city break you really need to be practical. With only taking a hand luggage bag you need to be prepared with all your minis! This time I have the addition of some beautiful MASON products which will make the journey all the more enjoyable!
I decided to be very sensible this trip and only pack what I really need. Starting with toiletries, I've got my mini deodorant (I mean it's SO mini!! this is 35ml... I don't know why they don't just make it 100ml) a mini face moisturiser and a tiny shampoo, conditioner.
Now for something a little more luxurious from MASON are these gorgeous little soaps. They smell amazing and are far nicer than any miniature I could have bought in Boots. It's also so handy that they have their own little tin box so you can pop it in your bag not worrying that any moisture will escape after use.
For the couple of hours that I'm up in the air, I have my MASON mini cashmere blanket with a matching eye mask which are both so lovely and soft! We caught the 7am flight Friday morning, so catching up on sleep was much needed. These both helped hugely!
While travelling it is so important to stay hydrated. That's where this gorgeous stainless steel travel bottle came in handy! A lovely secure lid so no spillages to worry about!
With accessories aside, I packed a comfortable pair of shoes (maybe the most important thing!) a warm coat (my trusty Canada Goose) as the forecast was clear but chilly, 5 degrees was the peak, and of course a hat and pair of gloves. All set for a weekend in a beautiful city! I've even got my city map ready... courtesy of a friend.
Exercise is for the mind just as much as it's for the body. I always leave the gym feeling SO good. For me, it's the best de-stresser out there, and I soon realised... you never regret going!
We all need that little bit of extra motivation, whether you want to work out for your holiday in a couple of months, or to get back in to that favourite pair of jeans... I can assure you that a new gym kit will do the job and get you eager for the gym!
I'm a creature of habit when it comes to work outs. I always start with a 10-20 minute interval session on the treadmill (the length of the run depends on my mood and energy level!)
I run fast for 1 minute, and then walk for 30 seconds... and continue this until I reach my target for the session.
I then move on to weights to work on toning my muscles. This part I usually make up as I go along. I try to get a little bit of everything in each workout, so something for my arms, something for my legs and then lastly something for the abs!
All topped off by 5 minutes of stretching so I know I'll be able to walk down the stairs tomorrow morning. I do this once or twice a week... so nothing extreme at all, just enough to make me feel good!
Everyone loves a good deal, a bargain or something that means you've already saved money before you go to the checkout! At Bicester Village this happens ALL day long in its 130 boutiques where you can save up to 60% off the recommend retail price. Cherrrchinggg!
It is suitably located just an hour from London, on the outskirts of Oxford. So, there is always time to pop in to the city centre as well!
Not only are all the shops your favourite designers but everything is just so beautiful! From the shop fronts to the restaurants, everything is displayed to perfection.
I've already decided I need to make a visit here before Christmas... most of all because they have 'The White company' and 'Molten Brown' which is where pretty much all my Christmas shopping is usually done!
After rather a lot of browsing and a little bit of shopping, we swung by Pret to grab some food before making the journey home.
