I recently got this check dress which I thought would be great in the summer with a little white tee underneath (the dress is scrappy), but it seems I just couldn't wait until summer to wear it!
So, on this VERY cold day I decided to pair it with a black roll neck jumper, and leather jacker and then a coat on top too. Yep, it really was that cold!
I love an item that is versatile and this certainly is, which means it will be well worth every penny.
I've recently stocked up on some great winter classics. The first being this knit! It's from an independent shop in Tunbridge Wells called Anna Poulson and I literally love everything they sell. I find it seriously hard to walk past and not go in. I have this jumper also in black and live in them!
The coat I'm wearing today is from SHEIN and is an absolute bargain! It's £30! There are a lot of check style coats around at the moment and I'm really liking the trend. Toyshop and Newlook both have some really lovely ones.
My first outfit post since having the little bub! I feel like I'm slightly out of practice and it's so strange seeing myself with out my bump!
Today I've gone for a fairly neutral wintery look. This fur gilet I've had for a couple of years now. I bought it from WHISTLES and absolutely love it! Luckily, there are lots of similar things out there at the moment.
Paired with some new jeans from TOPSHOP and simple grey roll neck from ASOS. I've stocked up on some new basics post baby but they aren't all fitting me quite how I would like them to. I've got some work to do for sure... but its advised you don't start exercising until 6 weeks post baby! But... I actually can't wait! So excited to go for a run. Not sure I thought I would ever say that!
A simple look for my first post back in blogging action! I'm hoping to get back in to the swing of things, but sometimes baby takes over! So... my posts may not be quite as regular as they were for a while. I'll be trying though!
I mean, how cosy is this!! I've been looking for a teddy coat for a couple of seasons now but have never found quite the right one. I really liked the Whistles one last year but I couldn't justify the spend! This H&M coat however, was very reasonable! The only maternity item I'm wearing in this look are my jeans (Topshop Joni jeans, so are also available in non-maternity)
I went for the coat in a small as I knew it would be quite oversized and I'm so pleased I did. It's perfect! I can't wait to wear this all winter long. Also... it fits the bump inside which means it should also fit the baby strapped to my front inside. One cosy little combo!
The bag I am wearing today is Fiorelli and is part of their breast cancer awareness campaign for the month of October. This particular style I am wearing is called 'The Bethnal' which is one of 4 pinstriped bags in this collection. Just search #CarryYourConfidence on insta to see everyone getting involved in the campaign! It really is such a great cause, and you can read all about it on the Fiorello website just here.
Today boots are a new Public Desire pair, and I'm loving them! I feel like they are so flattering on the leg and made me feel the slimmest I have all pregnancy! Although with quite a heel height, I'll be saving these for evening do's rather than all day wear.
As we come in to September it certainly feels like we have said farewell to the summer... And I'm secretly quite excited to be wearing knitwear again!
This jumper is a new TOPSHOP purchase of mine and isn't maternity, although I did get it in tall for a little extra length to cover more bump. I thought this would be great post pregnancy as I'm already far to excited to treat myself to some new winter clothes for my bumbless self!
Paired with my trusty WHISTLES leather that gets a whole load of use and my little MANGO bag. A couple of staples that I can't be with out! Also... one item that is very definitely maternity are my jeans. These are the Joni jeans from TOPSHOP and are by far the best maternity jeans I've come across. So comfy and stretchy and actually stay up top (always handy!)
A fairly simple look for the summer/autumn transition... still in sandals so clearly not completely ready to say goodbye to the sunshine!
