For a rather long time now, I've been desperate to have a long weekend in the Cotswolds... and my hubby and I finally got round to it!
After a few hours in the car we finally arrived at our first destination... Cirencester. I could not believe how beautiful this town was, I would happily live there! We parked up and spent a couple of hours wandering the streets before checking in to our first hotel 'The Kings Head'.
How amazing is that fire place!! After a lazy couple of hours enjoying the hotel room, we headed down to the restaurant and had a delicious meal! If you know me well... you will not be at all surprised in my choice. Burger! Fizzy bubbles on the side of course.
We also both had a really delicious pud of bread and butter pudding. So yummy! We soon finished up and headed back to our rather lovely room where I ended the evening with a rather long bath with a G & T on the side. Perfection!
In such a wonderful bed as big as it was, we slept like an absolute dream! We had a rather lovely Monday morning lie in and tried to appreciate every second of it!
We soon headed down to breakfast... my favourite part of staying in a hotel! We helped our self to an array of juices and pastries before ordering 2 full English breakfasts to set us up for the day ahead!
An incredibly relaxing stay with the most gorgeous room and such delicious food. We soon checked out and said goodbye to 'The Kings Head'... and off we went to our next Cotswolds retreat... (Part 2 coming Thursday!)
