Off work and off duty... pretty much says what the last week or so has been about. I'm in full swing of the Christmas break and find these few days between Christmas and new years the most enjoyable. Time to chill, or do those jobs that have needed doing for ages, but mainly just doing things went you want with out having to set that 6.45am alarm clock.
My specs have made an appearance today... feeling slightly blurry eyed from the Christmas party the night before, I felt these were the perfect shield!
This ring is a new addition and I'm SO in love with it!! I found it in ACCESSORIZE, Z Collection of course (My fave). I'm trying to add a little gold to all my silver jewellery as I think the combination can look really lovely. My bangle was from WHISTLES a year or so ago but love how it has both metals on it and it's proving a little hard to find an item of jewellery that has both! I'm after a bracelet with gold and silver on if anyone has seen any around?
This outfit consists of some of my favourite pieces which pop over in my posts over and over. My beloved ZARA coat for starters is so super cosy when it's wrapped around you and feels very much like you are wearing your dressing gown and I'm aware it can look a little like that too as my Granny tells me ... '' You have you dressing gown on again today!!'' Yes Granny, I do.
Paired with my TOPSHOP ripped jeans, my NIKE trainers, my WHISTLES striped top and lastly my glowing SOPHIE FLEMING backpack. The perfect combo for a day pottering around the town.
My last post of 2015, and what a year it has been! Wish you all a very happy new year... see you in 2016!!
Who doens't love a good print?! I'm definitely a creature of habit and tend to wear a lot of neutrals, but I'm really making an effort to jazz things up a bit with prints and the odd pop of colour!
This look is pretty much WHISTLES all over (one of my favourite shop ever if you hadn't noticed). This skirt I managed to hunt down on ebay and I'm so pleased I did. It's last seasons WHISTLES and in such great nick!
My WHISTLES leather jacket is probably my most used item in my wardrobe making it's cost per wear more than reasonable... any way to justify a big spend! I paired the skirt with a simple TOPSHOP black knitted polo neck and accessorised with my ACCESSORIZE handbag along with my grey furry pom pom tying in with the shades of grey in my leopard print skirt. A smarter look for the weekend over the festive period... just switch boots for heels and this outfit is ready for the evening.
Tis the season to be jolly... at your work Christmas party! I had mine on Friday and we had a lovely evening at the 'Tunbridge Wells Bar & Grill'. The food was amazing, it's truly was one of the best Turkey dinners I've had... obviously second to my Mums!
I wore my new navy jumpsuit from LILY & CARTER which I absolutely love. It's super soft and has a belt around the middle making it very flattering and easy to wear. Paired with my TOPSHOP grey blazer and my PRIMARK super jewelled necklace for extra festive sparkle!
Not to mention my favourite silver shoes which pop up in an awful lots of posts. These shiny things are from ASOS and after a lot of wear, I'm looking to upgrade them in the new year... they are just starting to look a little tired after all the do's they have been to. Any excuse to shop!
Can you actually believe it's Christmas Eve tomorrow... I can't. Very soon it will be time to close those office doors and sit by the fire drinking mulled wine, I cannot wait!
This year I have done all shopping for all my Christmas wrapping essentials in Homesense. They had the most amazing array of gift boxes, ribbons, cards and papers... it was hard only to choose a few! The paper was £3.99 a roll and really great quality. I chose a brown paper striped roll and also a silver and white tree print trying to stick with my scandi theme through out the house!
I'm so pleased I bought all these bits when I first saw them, as like things always do in Homesense... they were all gone the next time I went in.
Now on to the boxes! They had the cutest boxes (which I went a little over board with buying a few more than I needed) and these first two below with the bows on, I didn't actually realise they were cupcakes boxes but I just removed the little cupcake holders inside and have used them for some gifts for my Mum and I think she'll love them!
Wrapping should be just as fun as whats inside, and I'm hoping my 2 3 year old newphews approve of the Father Christmas and Reindeer boxes... I'm pretty sure they are the presents they'd be drawn too out of the lot!
Now all that's left is the distribution of presents to my friends and family, which is the funnest part of it all. I cannot believe Christmas is actually this week! Merry Christmas all!
This Monday I had a day off which was much needed and now has got me wishing the Christmas break would come sooner! After a very productive morning working on the house, knocking down walls and painting... we had our afternoon all planned out. Ice skating!
Suitably dressed with a bright woolly hat (and an oversized pom pom) we made our way in to town. After a leisurely stroll along the High Street admiring all the Christmas lights we stopped off at Calverley Park's pop up coffee shop 'Basil' where we treated our selves to a caramel latte each and a large wedge of chocolate digestive slice (see on the left hand side) which was just heavenly. Fully fuelled to take on the ice... By which time it was dark making it all the more beautiful!
Disappointingly, I was just as bad as last year but luckily had Charlie to drag me around so all I had to do was focus on staying up right. Practice makes perfect... I'll have to go again! Merry Christmas!
