Weekends are for lie in's, breakfast in bed and frothy coffee's on repeat. This weekend was my turn and with no bacon or eggs in the house I was pretty happy with the hubby's very easy request of Branflakes. Something I could definitely manage. For me though, toasted rye bread topped with avocado.
I was a little gutted to find we were out of Philly as it is possibly my favourite spread of all and totally makes this toast... but I had to do with out and it wasn't to bad. I used our new Nespresso machine and milk frother which always fills the kitchen with such a lovely strong smell of coffee. All loaded on to our Ikea tray, back to bedfordshire I went.
Ohhh what I'd do for that weekend feeling right now.

There are an awful lot of high boots around at the moment so I thought why not dig mine out from the bottom of the wardrobe which I bought a while ago... but have only worn them once! The problem was, I had my heart set of the Stuart Weitzman 50/50 boots but unless I was going to win the lottery there was no chance I'd be seeing them in my wardrobe anytime soon. However, I did find these Kurt Geiger boots on www.shoeaholics.com for a rather reasonable £150 down from £450. Bargaaain!... kind of.
Pairing my boots with skinny black jeans, a very fluffy coat from Forever 21 and my shiny new Zara handbag. I saw this handbag one day in the new in and thought OHH MYYY that's pretty... went back to look at it the next day and it was in the sale! So as it was clearly meant to be, I very quickly put in the bag in my basket and checked out. My rings are all Pandora (minus the wedding finger!) which I love to stack and mix and match. I'll link below the items or similar ones if the exact ones are no longer around.

Oh how I love a good basic! My latest NEWLOOK purchase was this pale blue oversized shirt costing me a very reasonable £14.99! Perfect for weekend casual but also just as useful for those days in the office where its too warm for a knit and too cold to bare the arms.
Paired with my RUSSELL AND BROMLEY black leather booties and my TOPSHOP black Joni jeans, this look is super easy to re-create with items you probably have buried in that wardrobe. My new boots have been used almost everyday since I got them at Christmas and are still looking like brand new. As my Mother has always told me, spend money on your shoes! Still... It's good to have the classic luxury item but it doesn't stop me buying ASOS and NEWLOOK shoes because I love them all the same!
Oh and of course me WHISTLES Leather jacket thrown on top because where would I be with out it! A simple look for running everyday errands.
Possibly my favourite item in my wardrobe, these dungarees. I wanted a some for so long and this WHISTLES pair have always been top of my list... Then when you find them in sale (for £36 rather than £120!!) you feel like it was meant to be! They are so versatile and you can wear them in so many different ways, I tend to wear them at the weekend... my Sunday look.
Paired with my dungarees I have kept everything pretty simple, just how I like it. A black polo neck jumper with black RUSSELL AND BROMLEY ankle boots... and (as there was a tiny bit of snow on the ground) a bright red hat for that colour pop!

There has never been a better time to drag some colour out of your wardrobe and into the rather grey days England is blessing us with at the moment! Orange has to be one of my favourite colours and this dress I found in WHISTLES has now dropped down to £18!! I find with Whistles sales… you find the gems in their stores as everything sells out so quickly online. But… if you are a huge Whistles fan and don’t have a store near you, here are some of the online stockists I’m always checking: John Lewis, Selfridges, House of Fraser, Asos, and obviously Whistles.
Paired with my bright orange number I have gone for gold and nudey tones which I think complement each other very well. My classic and very well used Mulberry bag alongside my growing collection of gold jewellery from Accessorise Z.
A versatile look for either day or night. Shop the look here:
